When we launched GreenSky, we chose frozen for one reason: integrity. Real vegetables. Nothing added. It worked.

But frozen meant freezers, cold chain, freight constraints and limited access. The product that customers loved was imprisoned by the format it lived in.

Freeze-drying became the answer. Not because it was cheaper... it isn't. Because it was right. Removing moisture at low temperatures preserves the cellular structure, nutrition and flavour of a whole vegetable completely. No refrigeration. No compromise. No cold chain.

The only reason the food industry doesn't use freeze-drying universally is cost. That has never been a good enough reason for us.
